Being a father is the most important role I play in life. The other roles exist to support this or really could be expressed as just a part of this.
This site is about me in all aspects of life. It started as a place to share technology-related things I'm curious about as they relate to my career but evolved into just something about me. It's important to know more about a person than just what code repositories they have and how they approach modern software development. This tries to cover what's important to me and how I approach all things in life, not just software and technology.
I sort of hate to categorize myself or slot my life into just a few buckets but these cover the major personas I like to consider for myself as part of daily life.

Starting as a teenager in my parents' basement breaking their 386 SX regularly I've been a lifelong technology tinkerer that now gets paid to do it professionally.

From college community meals to hand-rolling pasta with the kids — the joy of cooking has always been about feeding people I love, not just feeding people.

A company meeting about 'integrated life' and a Christian historian's thoughts on 'limited agency' shouldn't have anything to do with each other. But they changed how I am thinking about work, control, and what it means to live realistically.

It has already been 90 days since I made the transition to my new job as a Principal Consultant at Improving.

Wandering through the "available now" books on my eBook app for my library and came across this one. Honestly had low-ish expectations entirely based on the age of the book but it's been a good refresher and focus-bringers.
